Malaysia Mountain Trail Festival (MMTF) is co-organized by MMTF Consultant, Jabatan Perhutanan Negeri Perak and Larut Matang Hash House. MMTF is not just any other race. It is a race created by passion for runners by runners. The race takes place in the small historical town of Taiping, Malaysia every December since 2018. MMTF is certified by International Trail Running Association (ITRA) and International Skyrunning Federation (ISF). It is also one of the qualifying races for Ultra Trail Mont Blanc (UTMB) besides being an Asia Trail Master (ATM) point race. The race covers 4 distances namely 100KM, 50KM, 25KM and 13KM which take runners through the pristine “virgin jungle reserves” (VJR) trails surrounding Taiping. Malaysia Mountain Trail Festival VR Edition 2020 @ Reset and Challenge the New Normal is created to commemorate Malaysia Mountain Trail Festival 2020 and we hope it will help each of you to stay motivated whilst giving you the chance to test yourself across the 2 distances (50KM & 13KM) we have in store. You would have up to 2 weeks to complete the challenge. We will take into account the “kilometer effort” for those of you who cannot integrate elevation gain in your run. Hence for any gain of 100m in elevation, we add 1KM to the distance of the route you cover. By participating in Malaysia Mountain Trail Festival VR Edition 2020 @ Reset and Challenge the New Normal, you stand the chance to not only run with your friends and idols, but you would also get the opportunity to earn your discount* to the next edition of Malaysia Mountain Trail Festival 2021 which we promise will be a bigger and grandeur “year-end trail party” than before. In challenging yourselves, you would also be contributing to the society we support, as part of the fees collected will be set aside to help athlete-development and the society surrounding us. Every 50KM runner will be charged RM20, whilst every 13KM runner will be charged RM10. By registering it will also give you the priority rights** to register for Malaysia Mountain Trail Festival 2021. Every runner who completes the distance they register will earn an automatic 10% discount to Malaysia Mountain Trail Festival 2021. To motivate you to go that extra distance, you may double up your effort during the event period (between 16 – 31 December 2020) with no extra charge. By successfully doubling up your effort, you will automatically earn an automatic discount of 20% to Malaysia Mountain Trail Festival 2021.
