WELCOME TO

THE NORTH FACE 100 TAIPING, MALAYSIA 2020

The North Face 100 Taiping, Malaysia 2020 will be hosted by The North Face Malaysia and MMTF Consultant. It is also co-organized by Jabatan Perhutanan Negeri Perak and Larut Matang Hash House Harriers and Harriets. It will be held between 04th December 2020 – 06th December 2020 at Taiping, Perak, West Malaysia.

The North Face 100 Taiping, Malaysia 2020 will take runners through 10KM, 25KM, 50KM and 100KM of pristine trails in Taiping with elevation gain of 600m, 1200m, 3200m and 6200m (+)(-) respectively. The race will give every runner a chance of a lifetime to experience different trails around the iconic Maxwell Hill.

The North Face 100 Taiping, Malaysia 2020 marks an important history in the international trail running scene as it will be the 1st time that Malaysia is given the honor to be a part of The North Face 100 Asia Pacific Series. This will certainly place Malaysia on the same stature as  Thailand, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China and Philippines  in the international trail running scene. Above all, Malaysia will be able to showcase herself as an international trail running destination.

The North Face 100 Taiping, Malaysia 2020 will not only be an International Trail Running Association (ITRA) point race and Ultra Trail Mont Blanc (UTMB) qualifying race, but it will also be an Asia Trail Master’s race for the 2nd year running after the event team put up a highly competitive and memorable season finale for Asia Trail Master in 2019.

The event not only received positive reviews from the global trail running fraternity in 2019, but had also improved on its ITRA’s Runners Quality Index (RQI) from 3 stars (3.75) in 2018 to 4 stars (4.23 – 4.39) over 5.

We look forward to having each and everyone of you in Taiping, Perak, West Malaysia in winter 2020.
